I'm going to be honest about why I built this.
The AI tools that exist today are doing something quietly predatory. They lock you into their model of choice, hide your actual usage behind a monthly subscription, and make switching feel impossible by design. That's not innovation , that's a moat built on your dependency.
I got tired of paying a platform margin on top of what I was already paying for intelligence.
So I built Open Canvas. The rules are simple:
