Onhand is a contextual AI for learning and research. It highlights the line, leaves a note in the margin, and explains it in the page you're already reading.
I started building Onhand as a student because I felt no existing AI tools are good for learning. They take you away from the source material and do all the thinking for you.
Onhand answers questions ON the source material, highlighting key points and embedding notes directly in the page. Onhand works on websites, textbooks, PDFs, and most everything else in your browser.
Onhand also has a learning mode which gives you hints to help you get the answer on your own, instead of giving the full answer away from the start.
Onhand is open-source and has a generous free tier. Download it on the Chrome Store today!

Who hunted Onhand?
Onhand was hunted by Sriram Kiron. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
