What inspired me to build this?
After organizing more than 200 events across different countries, we noticed the same pattern at every major conference. People spend months planning meetings and partnerships, but once they land, they're figuring out transport, hotels, reservations, local recommendations, and countless small things that take away from the actual conference. We built OnGround to become the local team we always wished existed, so attendees can focus on the opportunities that brought them there.
What problems am I trying to solve?
Conference weeks are expensive, fast-paced, and packed with opportunities. Yet attendees still lose hours dealing with logistics, finding the right places, discovering side events, or handling last-minute issues in a city they don't know. OnGround solves that by giving founders, investors, teams, and creators a trusted local team that takes care of everything beyond the conference itself.
How did my approach or process evolve while working on this launch?
We started by thinking of OnGround as a concierge service. As we spoke with founders, investors, and conference attendees, we realized they weren't just looking for convenience. They wanted someone they could rely on throughout the week. That shifted our focus from offering individual services to delivering a complete conference experience. Today, OnGround isn't about airport pickups or reservations alone. It's about making conference week effortless, so people can spend their time building relationships, closing deals, and enjoying the city instead of figuring it out.
