The itch I needed to scratch: I needed a decent LinkedIn photo. A local studio quoted me $200+ and a two-week wait. Early versions kept making people look 10 years older (turns out words like "experienced" and "distinguished" age your face!), forced awkward smiles that broke resemblance, and once put a male user in a blouse 😅. We ended up rewriting our entire template library with strict rules: no facial-muscle directives, no age-adjacent words, gender-specific outfits, bright lighting only. Each fix came from a real failed generation.
