Omut
Telegram, WhatsApp and our own messenger in one app
Omut puts Telegram, WhatsApp and its own messenger into one native app for iPhone, iPad and Mac: one inbox, one search, one notification flow. Built solo in Tokyo, now in free open beta. New: long voice messages get a short summary powered by Claude (transcribed on your device). Coming next: two-way translation and turning "let's meet Friday at 7" into a calendar event.
Hi Product Hunt! I'm Nikita, the solo founder of Omut, building it from Tokyo.
My conversations were split across Telegram, WhatsApp and a few other apps, often in different languages. I wanted one inbox and one search for all of them, so I built Omut: a native iOS and macOS app with Telegram, WhatsApp and our own messenger inside.
What's next: AI features powered by Claude. Long voice messages get a short summary (speech is transcribed on your device), two-way translation lets you write in your language and deliver in your contact's, and "let's meet Friday at 7" becomes a calendar event in one tap.
The beta is free. I read every message, so tell me what feels wrong and what you'd want next!

Who hunted Omut?
Omut was hunted by Nikita Terekhin. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
