A small Windows 11 app for people who share their screen. When Zoom, Teams, Discord or OBS starts using your microphone, it covers your wallpaper and desktop icons with a plain image. A few seconds after the call ends, your desktop comes back. It only checks which apps Windows says are using the mic. It never listens to or records audio. Mac has apps like this, so I made one for Windows. 7-day free trial.
Hi Product Hunt! I'm a solo dev with a day job, and still a beginner at programming.
Before every screen share, I used to tidy up my desktop and switch to a plain wallpaper. Sometimes I forgot. Mac has apps that do this for you, but I couldn't find one on Windows that just worked by itself, so I made Omakase Cover.
How it works: Windows keeps track of which apps are using the microphone. When Zoom, Teams, Discord or OBS shows up there, Omakase Cover covers your desktop. When the call ends, it puts everything back. It doesn't listen to or record any audio.
There's a 7-day free trial. If your call app isn't covered yet, tell me which one.
