I'm an olive oil exporter, not a software founder.
In 2022 I left my job to go all in on OLYFO, our Tunisian olive oil business. We
export to 12+ countries now. Almost none of that came from a clever idea. It came
from showing up: airports, trade show stands, and follow-ups written at midnight
because it was the only quiet hour I had.
The hardest part was never the product or the paperwork. It was finding the next
buyer, and then not dropping them.
So I built the thing I kept wishing existed. You describe what you sell and which
market you want. OleaDesk goes and finds real buying companies there, checks they
are worth your time, finds a person to write to, and drafts the email in your own
voice, learned from your sent mail.
Two rules I refused to break:
• Nothing sends until you have read it. It is your name on that email.
• Your mail stays on your machine. It is a local desktop app, not another inbox
in somebody else's cloud.
What changed while building it: I set out to automate the outreach and ended up
automating the research. The writing was never the bottleneck. Knowing who to
write to was.
It is live today, 15 day trial, no card. I would genuinely like to hear from
anyone in food and drink who has felt this problem.
