OKLCH Pixel Palette is a free, browser-local generator for pixel artists and UI developers. Build 2–9 color ramps, inspect perceptual lightness, preview sprites, and export production-ready CSS variables with universal HEX fallbacks and native OKLCH overrides. Artist workflows are covered too: Aseprite PAL, GIMP GPL, HEX, JSON, TXT, and PNG. No account required.
I made OKLCH Pixel Palette because attractive swatches kept failing when they reached a real sprite. The tool makes lightness steps visible, protects the sRGB boundary, flags colors that are perceptually too close, and shows every result on small pixel previews before export. I also removed accounts and cloud saving: the full workflow now stays in the browser. I would love examples of difficult seed colors or ramps that still need manual repair.
Shipped a new CSS workflow today. Export now downloads a ready-to-use .css file with HEX custom properties first, then native OKLCH overrides inside @supports. That avoids the subtle fallback problem you get when an unsupported color function is stored directly in a custom property.
The generator is still free and browser-local, with 2–9 colors, six harmony modes, sRGB gamut fitting, lightness inspection, sprite previews, and PAL/GPL/HEX/JSON/TXT/PNG exports. I would especially value feedback from pixel artists and design-system developers about the next format to support.
