I'm the solo developer behind OH Sheet.
OH Sheet started as a side project that I worked on after my full-time job. It also became my playground to learn more about AI, Next.js, and building a product.
The idea came from a problem I kept running into myself. I'm not expert on spreadsheet things so every time I needed a spreadsheet formula, I ended up searching Google or ChatGPT, copying a formula, and sometimes realizing it didn't work because I was using Excel instead of Google Sheets or because of locale differences.
I wanted something simpler.
Instead of searching for syntax, just describe what you need:
"Extract text before @"
"Return Yes if amount is greater than 100"
"Find the last non-empty cell"
"Count unique values excluding blanks"
OH Sheet generates formulas for both Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets, with support for different spreadsheet locales.
The project is still in its MVP stage, and I'm intentionally keeping it focused. My goal right now isn't to add dozens of AI features, but to make one thing work really well: generating spreadsheet formulas that people can actually use.
