👋 Hello Product Hunt! 👋 Grateful to be here...I'm Jared Kleinert, Founder/CEO of Offsite. Over a decade ago, I was one of the first 10 employees at @15five , one of the "pioneering" remote-first companies. I saw firsthand how 15Five leveraged offsites to build their own award-winning culture and help thousands of other companies over the years to improve employee engagement, retention, and alignment. Other pioneering remote-first companies like Automattic (makers of WordPress, now one of our investors), Buffer (now one of our clients), @zapier and GitLab came to similar conclusions and have planned regular team retreats to keep their teams connected. Fast forward to today, and over 75% of companies are remote or hybrid. The number of offsites being planned is growing exponentially, and these offsites are increasingly critical to how teams build great culture, recruit top talent, conduct strategic planning, solve problems, and more. Couple that with the fact that - even before the pandemic - we have a loneliness epidemic in our society, and the need for Offsite is clear. After planning hundreds of team retreats as a service business, turned tech-enabled service business, we are excited to launch our first software product which is a curated marketplace for offsite venues. Head to offsite.com right meow (or share Offsite with your Chief of Staff, Executive Assistant, Head of People, or whoever else on your team plans your offsites) to save weeks of time searching for the right retreat venues... ...as well as 20% or more on room blocks, meeting space, F&B, and more. Thanks again to @5harath for hunting us, and we'll be online throughout the day to answer any questions, get your thoughts on what we should build next, and celebrate this launch 🚀

A few weeks ago, I came across Jared, Founder/CEO of Offsite, in the “Five on Friday” newsletter from @thesamparr and his new company Hampton. I read about Offsite’s mission to make the world a more “connected” place by making it easier for remote and hybrid teams to plan offsites. I was blown away to hear they’d already planned hundreds of offsites and generated $1M+ in services revenue before launching a product 🤯 I immediately cold DM’d him on Twitter, inviting him to my podcast, The Undefeated Underdogs, where we discussed many things, including the inception of Offsite and how his experience of being an early employee at 15Five gave him an edge in understanding remote culture. For some reason, Offsite feels like an idea I wanted to build - I was instantly hooked on Jared's vision, what he is building right now, and, most importantly, why he is passionate about helping startup teams connect! Today I'm stoked to introduce Offsite to the Product Hunt community. If you are a distributed team and plan yearly/quarterly retreats, Offsite is going to remove all the hassle of logistics, reduce costs and ultimately give you time to spend with your team in person and in peace 🤝 Jared and the whole team are here to answer any questions, and if you are as thrilled as I'm, add some feedback and try Offsite. Over to you PH 👇🏼

Jared and his team have been hard at work for 2+ years helping teams come together for in-person retreats. Excited to see this new product that'll streamline the process - as an example, just having a database that shows number of hotel rooms per property will be a huge timesaver, I've spent dozens of hours calling around to get capacity across different cities.

There are many factors to consider when searching for contract work as a freelancer, not the least of which is whether or not the job is onsite or offsite. Depending on your mindset and comfort of environment, this might seem like a no-brainer. However, there may be factors to each option that you haven’t considered. So let’s run down the pros and cons for onsite work versus offsite work so you can be best informed. Offsite – There are obvious benefits to working offsite as a freelancer. Not having a commute to work certainly is appealing, especially when rush hour hits. Being in your own environment is another benefit, especially if that helps get creative juices flowing. Sometimes loud music or a comfy couch is just the trick to jumpstart productivity. You also manage your own schedule, working when it suits you best. Some people get the most out of themselves early in the morning, some in the evening. Working offsite gives you that flexibility.

This is awesome. We actually based our initial idea for our startup out of team retreats. We believe that some employees don't enjoy team retreats as much. And it is due to a lack of culture fit in the hiring process step(when they're still candidates). So ROI of team retreats(and any activity) might be 0% if the employees don't fit with the company culture. It was unsubstantiated because there was no way for us to measure that ROI. Now we can, so thanks! Would be interesting to see how our solution affects ROI in these activities. I'll contact you in a few months to see wether we can collaborate. Congrats to the team and much luck for the ongoing Q3!

This looks an interesting idea. Btw I am currently working in a similar software company which does corporate events planning.

"Offsite" often refers to a place or activity that takes place away from a particular site or set of premises. "Offsite" can refer to features, perks, or actions that are connected to or occur away from the main location or point of interest when referring to goods or services.

It seems like your question is a bit unclear. Are you asking about the meaning of the term "Offsite write some comment"? If so, it's not entirely clear what context or subject you're referring to.

Huge congrats on the launch! I don't think I realized just how involved and logistically intricate planning each offsite can get, and it's awesome to see this evolving into a productized, yet personalized offering. Excited to work with your team soon to plan our first offsite!

Such a great concept. Good team, excellent founder, solving a real problem in the remote workforce. Keep it up!

Super excited to see Offsite launch! What inspired the idea and what sets it apart from other retreat-planning platforms?

Offsite seems like a game-changer for team retreats. Streamlined venue selection and proposal review.
