Hey everyone 👋
I'm Alex, the creator of Oculus.
Oculus started because I was frustrated with constantly switching between tools to get work done. I'd use one AI for writing, another for coding, separate apps for documents, project notes, tasks, emails, and client information. Nothing remembered context properly, and every new chat felt like starting over.
So I started building the workspace I wanted to use myself.
Today Oculus combines persistent memory, AI Notes, workspaces, document intelligence, semantic search, actions, and multi-model support and more into a single platform. It can remember projects across sessions, search PDFs and DOCX files with citations, manage knowledge, draft emails and proposals, track actions, and help turn conversations into actual work.
One thing that's important to me is that Oculus isn't tied to a single model. My long-term goal is to make it a model-agnostic AI workspace where users can bring their own models while keeping all the memory, document intelligence, and workflow features.
This is still evolving quickly, and I'd genuinely love feedback from developers, agency owners, freelancers, and anyone working with AI daily.
