Nym's & I
The neon arcade game show that tests your acronym IQ
Hey PH Nym's & I is a free-to-play neon arcade game show that teaches players the difference between acronyms and initialisms — a surprisingly tricky linguistic distinction most people have never thought about.
Each round presents an abbreviation (NASA, FBI, LASER, LOL…) and a 10-second countdown. Players tap [A] for Acronym (pronounced as a word) or [I] for Initialism (spelled out letter by letter). Answer fast for speed bonuses. Chain correct answers for streak multipliers up to 3×. Wager chips on confidence rounds. Unlock Challenge Mode and try to pass the 70% threshold.
7 categories. 250+ questions. Free tier includes Science & Tech, Military, and Medical. Premium ($4.99 one-time) unlocks Pop Culture, Sports, Business, and Internet & Social.
Built for word nerds, trivia fans, students, and anyone who's ever wondered why we say "NASA" but spell out "FBI." PH! I built Nym's & I-:a neon arcade game show that tests whether you know the difference between acronyms and Initialisms
