I'm Alexandre, and 6 months ago I had zero coding experience.
Today, NutriTrace is live on the App Store β and I built it
entirely with Claude AI (Anthropic).
π οΈ How I built it:
- React Native + Expo for the app
- Claude Code wrote 95% of the code
- Supabase for the database
- RevenueCat for subscriptions
- No CS degree, no coding bootcamp
π₯ What NutriTrace does:
- Calculate your daily calorie needs
- Track meals and macros
- Generate AI recipes from ingredients you already have
- Scan meals with your camera
- Available in English, French & Arabic
π‘ Why I built it:
I was frustrated with nutrition apps that were either too
complicated or didn't support Arabic and French properly.
I wanted something simple, multilingual, and AI-powered.
π― What makes it different:
- Powered by Claude AI (Anthropic) for smart recipe generation
- Full Arabic RTL support (rare in nutrition apps)
- Pay-as-you-go credits β no forced subscription
- GDPR compliant (built for European users)
This has been an incredible journey from idea to App Store.
