Nutree is different because it turns nutrition tracking into a daily habit loop, not a one-time calorie log. Users scan meals, track water and activity, and see progress in one simple flow. The AI reduces manual logging and gives supportive guidance, helping users stay consistent with healthier decisions every day.
Hey everyone — we built Nutree because healthy eating still feels too much like homework.
Most nutrition apps ask people to search food databases, estimate portions, type everything manually, and then interpret a lot of numbers. That may work for very disciplined users, but for most people, the habit breaks after a few days.
Our first idea was simple: let people scan a meal and understand it instantly.
But while building, we realized the bigger problem was not just logging food faster. The real challenge is helping people stay consistent. So Nutree evolved from an AI meal scanner into a nutrition habit companion: scan meals, track water, log activity, see progress, and get simple guidance without guilt.
We’re starting with food because it is one of the most repeated health decisions people make every day. Our goal is to make that daily decision easier, more personal, and more sustainable.
Would love your feedback on the product, especially around habit-building, retention, and how we can make nutrition tracking feel even less like work.

Who hunted Nutree?
Nutree was hunted by Alex Nguyen. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
