Hi Product Hunt 👋 I'm Geoffrey, a computer science student from France. I built Numa after realizing that most AI accounting tools require uploading highly confidential financial data to the cloud. For many accountants, that's simply a deal breaker. Numa takes a different approach: ✅ Runs 100% locally ✅ Client data never leaves your computer ✅ Grounded on accounting references to reduce hallucinations ✅ Built for real accounting workflows This is still an early version and I'd genuinely love your feedback. Every comment helps shape what comes next. Thanks for checking it out! ❤️

👋 Hi Product Hunt!

I'm Geoffrey, a computer science student and solo founder from France.

I built Numa because I kept seeing the same problem: accountants want to use AI, but many simply can't upload confidential financial data to the cloud.

So instead of building another AI wrapper, I took a different approach.

Numa runs 100% locally. Financial statements, journal entries and client files stay on your computer. Privacy isn't just a feature—it's the foundation of the product.

Over the past months, I've built the entire system myself: the language model, the retrieval pipeline, the desktop app and the accounting knowledge base. It has been a huge learning experience, and today I'm excited (and a little nervous!) to finally share it with you.

I'm still improving Numa every week, so I'd genuinely love your feedback.

Some questions I'd love to hear your thoughts on:

* Is local AI something your company would value?

* What would make you trust an AI assistant with sensitive data?

* Which accounting workflow would you automate first?

Thank you for checking out Numa and for supporting independent builders! ❤️
