A while back at work, we spent months chasing a big enterprise customer. When we closed them, the whole team celebrated. A few months later they churned. They'd figured out our product didn't actually do what we said it would.
The down felt way worse than the up felt good. The worst part: the gap wasn't sloppy work. Tests were green. Sprints shipped on time. The product just didn't deliver on what it was supposed to.
