I built Novellisto because publishing knowledge has always been gatekept by the right connections, the right city, the right writing group. The writers who knew how it worked were the ones who already had access to people who did. There is too much privilege and too many barriers. Art should not be a luxury of the wealthy or the well-connected.
As a working class woman, that has never sat right with me. Every writer deserves a clear map of what the journey actually looks like, not just the ones who happen to know someone.
