Hey Product Hunt 👋
I built NovaCheck because AI coding has changed one important thing about software development:
It’s now possible to generate a lot of code before you fully understand what ended up in the repository.
That made me wonder: what if we had a simple “trust check” specifically for AI-assisted code?
NovaCheck is my attempt at that.
It runs locally and looks for things like ghost dependencies, exposed secrets, dangerous sinks and other security signals, then turns the findings into a simple trust score.
It’s open source because I want the checks to be inspectable rather than having developers blindly trust another black box.
I’m still actively developing it, so I’d especially love feedback from people who use Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot, Codex or other AI coding tools regularly.
What would you want an AI-code trust scanner to catch that existing tools don’t?

Who hunted NovaCheck ?
NovaCheck was hunted by Giovannipaolo"Gianpaolo" Roscino. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
