Hey everyone! I'm maker of Notwen 👋 Three years of freelancing taught me one thing: the work is the easy part. The money is the mess. I had expenses in a spreadsheet, invoices in one tool, contracts in another, and a small panic every tax season because nothing talked to each other. So I built Flow — the all-in-one financial workspace for freelancers, not accountants. It pulls your entire back-office into a single dashboard. What makes it different: ▎ - 🧾 Invoices that run themselves — create, schedule, auto-send, and get paid online via Stripe ▎ - 📊 Taxes you can see coming — expenses and tax estimates update as you go, no year-end scramble ▎ - 📈 Forecasts from real data — see next month's earnings, not guesses ▎ There's also AI that categorizes spending and drafts client emails, plus automated reminders that chase late payers for you. More income integrations (Stripe Connect, Patreon, Substack) are landing soon so every dollar lives in one place. I'd genuinely love your feedback: what's the single most painful part of managing money as a freelancer? I'll be here all day replying to every comment. 🙌

Forecasting is the part that interests me here. Expense tracking is fairly solved, but income forecasting for freelancers has a specific problem: the invoice date and the actual payment date can be weeks apart, and it's not consistent per client.

Does the forecast learn from each client's actual payment behavior over time, or does it work off due dates? A client who reliably pays 30 days late is very different from one who pays on time but only sometimes, and I'd guess averaging those together would make the forecast worse than useless.

"tax reserves" and "missed deductions" are the two features that make or break a tool like this for freelancers, and both are extremely jurisdiction-specific. is the tax logic US-only for now, or does it adapt to different countries' rules? asking because a lot of solopreneurs bill clients across borders and get burned by tools that quietly assume US tax treatment as the default.
