Top comment

I attended Make with Notion and was sufficiently impressed with Notion's approach to personal and custom agents (coming soon).

That you can talk to your Notion database(s) with a RAG-style experience that also allows you to update and manipulate your data is brilliant.

As far as Notion 3.0, here's the TL;DR:

  • Notion 3.0 is here: The biggest evolution of Notion yet, with Notion AI Agents at the center.

  • Agents can do everything a human can do in Notion: Create docs, build databases, search across tools, and execute multi-step workflows.

  • Personalize your Agent: Give your personal Agent custom instructions and context about how you work—with some aesthetic flair.

  • Custom Agents are coming: Soon, you'll go from one personal Agent to a full team of Custom Agents to automate different workflows.

  • Plus more highly-requested features: Database row permissions, new AI connectors and additional MCP integrations are here!

Comment highlights

You can always count on Notion for smooth UX! Really dig the AI character design.

Custom prompts are still pretty tricky to set up though... could use some simplification there.

I just saw the release of this AI product and wonder if its usage threshold is high? Can beginners get started quickly?

Wow, notion with AI agents is a huge leap! Love the idea of handing off busywork to a personal Agent, and customizing it sounds super useful. Can’t wait to see how this changes my workflow!

From docs to databases, the busywork that fills your day now takes minutes. It’s your second brain, finally with hands.

Congratulations! I've been using it all the time and I'm so happy to see it getting better and better.

Can’t wait to see how deep database automation, new connectors, or multi-agent coordination will evolve, will future updates allow teams to orchestrate even more advanced business processes with full transparency and feedback?

So, can I create a list of to-do's and assign them to agents to get it done?

i'm really excited about this!! i feel like i spend a good time wrestling with formatting, setting up notion pages, figuring out where things are. having agents who can help with all that seems like a dream! been a user for years both professionally and personally, very excited to see how notion evolves :)

Totally love the video! But I can't help wonder ... even if the agents got one thing wrong in the entire sequence, the work to figure out and debug feels insanely hard. Eg, the wrong engineer got tagged for an issue, or the wrong issue got marked as done based on meeting notes, or the right issue didn't get marked as Done. Wonder if the trust-but-verify loop here is more work than what the agents are doing!

Unfortunately it feels that Notion is neglecting base functionality in the race for the shiniest AI features. It certainly is cool, but I'd rather have polished software for real meat-based users first.

Multi-step workflows inside Notion itself... this is going to replace so many external automations. This got huge potential.

The idea of delegating work to Agents inside Notion is brilliant. It shifts the platform from just organizing to actually executing. That could change how teams collaborate completely. Feels like the start of true productivity automation.

Notion 3.0 with AI Agents is a massive leap forward. Automating repetitive tasks while keeping the flexibility and structure Notion is known for — brilliant! This makes task management smoother and smarter. Kudos to the team for pushing the boundaries again!

Cheers! It's looks amazing and esay to used! @akshay_kothari
