NotchPop turns your MacBook notch into a Dynamic Island: music, a file shelf, clipboard history, focus timer, calendar, weather, AI coding stats and revenue. Works on Macs without a notch too. Native SwiftUI, $3.99 once, 7-day free trial.
Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I'm Tejas, the maker of NotchPop.
The notch on my MacBook was the most-looked-at and least-useful part of my screen. So I turned it into a Dynamic Island that actually does work:
🎵 Media Island: Apple Music, Spotify and browser audio, plus an audio output switcher (speakers → AirPods in one click)
📁 Drop Shelf: drag files onto the notch, AirDrop them, convert images to JPEG, PNG, HEIC or PDF on-device
📋 Clipboard: searchable history, off until you opt in, never leaves your Mac
⏱️ Focus: Pomodoro with a live countdown in the collapsed notch + hydration reminders
📅 Calendar: today's agenda and one-click Zoom / Meet / Teams joins
👩💻 For builders: Claude Code, Codex and Cursor activity, and Stripe / Polar / Dodo revenue at a glance
💬 Reply to iMessage and WhatsApp without switching apps
No notch? It becomes a floating island on iMac, Mac mini, Mac Studio and external displays.
A few things I cared about:
• Native Swift/SwiftUI, not a web wrapper
• Permissions only when you turn on the feature that needs them
• $3.99 once. No subscription, ever. 7-day free trial with every feature.
I'd love your honest feedback, especially what you'd want the notch to do next. There's a public feedback board at notchpop.com/feedback, and I'm here all day answering questions. 🙏
does the claude code activity show when its waiting on me for a permission prompt? thats the one thing i always miss when im in another window
Congrats! Switching audio output right from the notch sounds handy. Nice to see clipboard history is opt-in too.
