Hey PH makers and early adopters! I'm Mo, cofounder and CEO at Noor. Today, my 3 teammates and I are so excited to show you what we've been using for teamwork instead of traditional apps. A lot of people told us that don't compete with big players. But we believed we can do 10x better — Our team has been iterating on Noor for 2.5 years, going through 16 major iterations. Going from a simple Electron menubar app to a full-on native teamwork app. Noor is • lightweight • starts instantly • has a great rich text editor • utilises native capabilities for ease of use • natively integrates with your Linear It's built on 4 principles: • Default to deep work and async • Allow high-bandwidth realtime collaboration • Give user the option to choose their level of presence (go from deep work -> whiteboard via voice in a click) • Fade into the background It's not the first time our team is shipping. Previously in 2018 we launched a timezone app used by folks at Apple, Google, Paypal, IBM, Shopify, and more: https://producthunt.com/posts/there

This looks really cool. I was immediately intrigued by the caption of "Time to Replace Slack" and thought to myself, now that is a bold statement! Guess I just have to try this out. So I am going to. Is there a way I can provide feedback?

Congrats on the launch!🎉 I like the concept of this app, it's worth replacing Slack and I'm really looking forward to future updates. The UI is simple and easy to use.

Congratulations on the launch Team!! 🚀 It is an amazing app with a lot of cool features, it seems you can't tell it all in the demo video. Wish you continued success as Noor empowers teams to achieve their goals. Congratulations on this remarkable achievement! 🎉

In addition to the cool name, and great new perspective to work/chat/collab experience, I adore how you nicely mention people who helped you and the tools you use :) And now for the feedback: 1. Tasks and daily chats are great, I can see this as a major pain point for many remote/hybrid teams. Even though in Slack you can technically achieve similar behavior using a bot + chat named daily, having a focus in the actual tool is way better in many ways. 2. "Physical space" is not something I would use a lot, but might be useful for some teams I guess. 3. Having a whiteboard to load within the app would be nice to have 4. A decent search capabilities 5. It would be nice to have a home section next to the "tasks" button. Use case: The section would have a grid of links (like apps on mac os or bigger cards). This would be useful to have a common place for the team to have a single place with all assets, be it a notion page, docs, other links, etc. Number 5 is my personal favorite (after number 1, of course 😅) because I switched from Slack to JetBrains Space for a few reasons: 1. Losing my history and not being able to search properly for what I didn't lose yet. (Noor doesnt have such issue as far as I can tell) 2. It was nice to have everything work related in one place. Although, now I realize there is too much clutter in JetBrains Space, so whatever you add to Noor, please make sure it's really needed there, or let people hide it. 3. Kanban board, actually not just the board, but the fact how easy it is to share tasks with the team and invite them to a task by mentioning the person and following the discussion in the chat. In other tools, you would have to share links, go to another tool in the browser, and go back to discuss the task, etc. Whilst this is a nice feature, I believe it is not a good fit for Noor, just mentioning why we switched to JetBrains Space. > A lot of people told us that don't compete with big players A lot of people say the same for what we are doing, but hopefully in 5-6 months we will release a great competitor :)

Noor is really promising! It looks great. Hope there’ll be lots of integrations by other apps soon.

Congrats on the launch! However, I am unable to try it; both my attempts with Google and email have failed.

Hey, It seems a good product and You deserve to be appreciated. It is a big product for a small and young team. I could not test the app because of download link is broken. The tabs feature is innovative. I did not see the group feature. It should be. I liked that you share the techs you used and the people who worked together past and now.

Heyyy, this looks so cool! And I love the "physical space" simulation aspect. Is there a way to alternate between different teams/projects in the same window? At my work the various projects are often almost completely unrelated and many members are only in one team and know nothing of the others, so having it all mixed up would be confusing.
