Nonna: Reminders & Habits
Meet Nonna, the tiny grandmother in your Mac's notch.
Nonna brings a little Italian-grandma energy to your Mac’s notch. More than a reminder app, she combines personal reminders and healthy habits with a playful animated character that reacts to you. Create reminders in natural language, build routines your way, and get gentle nudges to drink water, stretch, or rest your eyes — right where you work, without opening another app. No account, no ads, no analytics, and no subscription. Just a little care, built for your Mac.
I'm excited to introduce Nonna, a tiny Italian grandma who lives in your Mac's notch and reminds you to take a little better care of yourself.
We built Nonna because it's easy to get caught up in work and forget the basics: drinking water, stretching, or giving your eyes a break. We wanted to make reminders feel a little more human — something that makes you smile instead of adding another notification to ignore. ❤️
With Nonna, you can:
💧 Remember to drink water (coffee doesn't count, tesoro).
🧘 Take a break and stretch before your back becomes a question mark.
👀 Give your eyes a rest from the screen.
📝 Create your own reminders and routines to build healthier habits.
No account, no ads, no analytics, and no subscription. Just a little care for your Mac.
I'd love for you to give Nonna a try! It's still early, and Nonna is learning every day from the people who use it.
A few things we'd especially love your thoughts on:
Does having reminders in your notch feel useful or distracting?
What habits or routines would you like Nonna to help you build?
What would make you want to keep her around every day?
Have an idea that could make Nonna better? She's all ears! 😉
Every suggestion helps Nonna grow, and you know how Italian grandmas feel about growing up well.
Thanks for checking it out, and helping Nonna become the little companion your Mac deserves! 🫰
