Hey there 👋
Six months ago, I started building this project with nothing more than a broken laptop and a dream: to make mental health and well-being services available to every person with a phone in their pocket. I'm so glad I can finally say it's live on the App Store.
Last summer, I started researching and found that most people who unfortunately cannot afford a psychologist's appointment rely on mental well-being apps. However, these apps are often overpriced and only offer basic features such as breathing routines and sounds. I couldn't believe my face when I came across an app that charged $20 because it had a remarkably appealing design.
On the other side of the coin, there's a significant amount of people who don't know about free helplines and services provided by NGOs and volunteers across the world. And that's when I started Nomadful. The core idea is really simple: the app asks you where you live and shows you services available in your region. Each service has a short description to help you make the right choice depending on the type of help you're looking to receive, while providing you with the following fundamental features:
• Breathing routines: start a breathing routine that can last anywhere from 30 seconds up to 5 minutes.
• Sounds: relax with a library of sounds. More will be added soon!
• Mood logs: log your current mood and receive accurate stats on how you've felt most of the time and identify patterns in your state of mind. Associate your mood with people, health or current events to see what has the biggest impact on your mindset.
• Journal: get access to a journal with unlimited entries and add up to three pictures per entry, plus how you felt at the time of writing.
