Visual node-based programming for ESP32 devices. Build GPIO logic, timers and MQTT workflows — flash once, deploy over USB, Wi-Fi, MQTT.

I built NodeSP because I wanted an easier way to create logic for ESP boards without constantly writing and wiring code manually. The idea came from Unreal Engine’s Blueprint system: drag nodes onto a canvas, connect them together, and build behavior visually. I wanted that same kind of workflow, but focused on ESP32/ESP8266 projects, sensors, relays, LEDs, automations, and IoT experiments. Instead of starting with a blank code editor, NodeSP lets you think in blocks: inputs, outputs, triggers, timers, conditions, actions, and device logic. My goal is to make prototyping ESP projects faster for makers, hobbyists, students, and developers who want a more visual way to build embedded projects. This is still early, but the long-term vision is to make ESP development feel more like building a blueprint than writing boilerplate code from scratch. I’d love feedback from anyone building with ESP boards, Arduino, PlatformIO, Home Assistant, or IoT devices. What nodes, integrations, or workflows would you want first?

Who hunted NodeESP?

NodeESP was hunted by Majorelk. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
