I’m the solo developer behind Nixvoid. I built this because I grew tired of "secure" messaging apps demanding my phone number, email, and accessing my contacts before letting me talk to anyone.
Nixvoid is an experiment in extreme minimalism and zero-knowledge architecture. There is no user database. Encryption (AES-GCM 256-bit) happens purely in your browser via the Web Crypto API, and the backend server only acts as a dumb transit layer for the ciphertext.
To combat physical device snooping (the "Analog Hole"), messages automatically self-destruct 10 seconds after rendering. We also have "Ghost Mode" (no typing indicators) and "Incognito Read" (no read receipts).
