Nightshift
An AI teammate that runs your project ops overnight
Nightshift audits your board at 05:15, clears what it can, reviews pull requests and posts a report to your chat before standup. It has been running a real product team's operations every night since April 2026.
I run a 3-person product team. What kept breaking was never the code, it was everything around it: the board drifting, PRs sitting for seventeen days, an alert nobody saw because it fired at 2am.
So I built an agent for that part. It has been running on our own product every night since April.
Two things it caught last week that we would have found much too late:
A monitoring watch that had been silent for seven days was quietly corrupting its own cursor. It reported "0 results" instead of "the call failed". We had been reading that zero for four nights.
Five production monitors sat paused from 02:16, with the status page still green. Production was fine. Nobody was watching it.
Neither is a code bug. That's the category it covers.
It does not deploy without approval, close issues on its own, or touch secrets. That list mattered as much as the features.
Happy to answer anything about how it's wired: long-lived session, file-based memory it re-reads every session, cron triggers, and a hard deny list.

Who hunted Nightshift?
Nightshift was hunted by BySloyzZ. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
