Nightjar
Real-time AI interview copilot that answers from your resume
Nightjar listens to your interview call and drafts answers from your resume and the job description as each question ends. Coding rounds get a step-by-step walkthrough from a screenshot. Windows app, pay per interview in ₹, free 10-minute trial.
Hi Product Hunt 👋 I'm Divyanshu, the founder of Nightjar.
why you built it :
During placement season I watched friends who knew the material freeze the moment an interviewer asked a follow-up. They didn’t lack knowledge; they lacked a few seconds to organise their thoughts.
In one of my own interviews, I knew the answer to a system design question but couldn’t structure it fast enough under pressure. I walked out knowing I’d lost it on delivery, not knowledge.
The interview copilots I found cost $20–$30 a month in dollars, which is a lot for a student in India who only has a few interviews. I wanted one you could pay for per interview, in rupees.
What Nightjar does:
Listens to the interviewer through your computer's call audio and transcribes each question
Drafts an answer from your resume, the job description and the company, in a concise, detailed or STAR style.
In coding rounds, reads the problem from a screenshot and walks you through it: clarify → brute force → optimal → dry run → code.
Works with Zoom, Google Meet, Teams and Webex, with nothing to connect and no API key
It's a Windows app, priced per interview in rupees with no subscription, and there's a free 10-minute trial. A good way to try it is in a mock interview with a friend.
I'd really value your feedback, especially on answer quality and what would make it more useful for practice. I'll be here all day to reply.
