Documentation changes slower than software. APIs evolve, configurations change, and features get refactored — but outdated claims can remain in the docs. NEXUS treats documentation accuracy as a verification problem. It extracts technical claims from documentation, searches the repository for evidence, and classifies each claim as Verified, Uncertain, or Contradicted, with traceable evidence behind the result.
I built NEXUS after noticing a simple gap in software development: documentation can describe how a system works, but there isn't always a way to verify those claims against what the code actually does.
I wanted to approach this as an evidence problem rather than another documentation-generation tool.
NEXUS reads the documentation, extracts technical claims, looks for evidence across the repository, and tells you whether each claim is Verified, Uncertain, or Contradicted.
This project also became an opportunity for me to build an end-to-end product — from the React frontend and FastAPI backend to GitHub OAuth, PostgreSQL, repository analysis, verification logic, testing, responsive UI, and deployment.
