Hey Product Hunt! I’m Demetris, the maker of NextOrbit. Stepping back into the job market after being in the same engineering role for over 15 years was a massive reality check. The landscape had completely changed. I was getting overlooked for roles I was a perfect fit for, and my process had devolved into a messy web of folders and manually tailored files. I quickly realised the problem was that my resume was being filtered out by ATS algorithms and bots before a human ever laid eyes on it. I decided to fight fire with fire. I investigated what these systems were actually looking for, found a formula that helped me get past the scans, and immediately started getting calls. Being an engineer, I couldn’t just leave it at that. I decided to automate it. What started as a personal script eventually evolved into NextOrbit. I initially had no intention of releasing this to the public. However, as the architecture grew more sophisticated with a multi-stage AI prompt chain, strict programmatic guardrails, and a score-and-refine loop, friends started asking to use it. After pouring hundreds of hours into perfecting the pipeline, I decided to polish the UI and turn it into a real project to share with everyone. With NextOrbit, you can: -Beat the bots: Analyse job descriptions and tailor your resume to pass the ATS. -Trust the output: Our engine relies on strict, evidence-based generation. Instead of hoping a single AI prompt gets it right, the system grounds its claims in your actual career evidence, then runs a rigorous multi-pass validation loop that checks and rechecks the text to aggressively filter out fabrications. -Bring order to the chaos: Manage your entire interview process in a clean, self-managed job pipeline. I built this to give job seekers real leverage and stop the endless manual tailoring. I will be hanging out in the comments all day. I would love to hear your thoughts, answer any questions about the backend architecture, or hear about your own job hunt experiences!

on the hiring side of this, i wonder about the second-order effect. if everyone tailoring against the same ats systems converges on the same keyword patterns and phrasing, resumes start looking more alike to a human reader even though the no-fabrication guardrail is solid. beating the bot and standing out to the person reading after the bot feel like they could pull in opposite directions

Gave NextOrbit a quick spin on an old resume and the scoring breakdown was surprisingly specific about keyword gaps, plus the no-fabrication guard makes me actually trust the rewritten bullets instead of wondering what got invented.

how does the verification step actually catch fabricated metrics when the same ai that drafted them is the one checking?

How does the verification step actually catch fabricated metrics in practice, especially if someone starts with a resume thats already a bit loose with the numbers?
