Top comment

I built NexoChess because I wanted chess analysis to feel genuinely useful for learning, not just like staring at an engine evaluation and a list of mistakes. The idea started with a simple goal: make game review free, clear and practical. Over time, it grew into a broader learning platform with Stockfish-powered analysis, puzzles generated from your own mistakes, opening repertoire study, interactive lessons, endgame training, statistics and personalised training guidance. One thing I cared about from the beginning was keeping the core experience accessible. NexoChess is free, open source and most of the platform works without requiring an account. The project has evolved a lot through constant testing and iteration, especially around one question: after analysing a game, what should the player actually do next to improve? That question is what shaped the current version of NexoChess.

Who hunted NexoChess?

NexoChess was hunted by Manuel García Villaescusa. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
