Hey Product Hunt 👋 If you’re into macOS and care about privacy, I think you might like what I’ve been working on. I’m not a company or a team — just one person who got frustrated with the current options and decided to build something that felt right. I care a lot about software that respects the user, both in how it works and how it communicates what’s going on. Tools like Little Snitch are incredibly powerful, but they can get overwhelming fast. You’re hit with constant prompts and technical details, and most people end up just clicking “allow” to get on with their day. On the flip side, LuLu is simpler, but can feel a bit rough around the edges and not always the most reliable. What I wanted was something in between — a tool that clearly shows what your Mac is connecting to, in plain English, and helps you understand whether it actually matters. No guesswork, no deep networking knowledge required. So that’s what I built. It runs quietly in the background, stays out of your way, and focuses on clarity and simplicity. You shouldn’t need to be a network engineer to understand what your computer is doing. My background is in Computer Science and systems integration, and I tend to want visibility into everything that’s happening around me. I brought that same mindset into this, and Netwoke is the result. A few things I focused on: You can click any connection and get a simple explanation of what it is, whether it’s something to worry about, and what you can do about it. If something looks off, you can stop it or block it right from the app without digging into Terminal or advanced settings. There’s a clean menu bar mode that shows live activity at a glance, with more detail one click away. Everything runs locally on your Mac. No accounts, no cloud, no subscriptions. I built this from the ground up myself and I’m happy to answer any questions or go into how it works if anyone’s curious.

congrats on the launch!! i have 2 questions - 1) do you use ai to filter/grade/rate the connections (safe, warning, etc) as well as for explaining what it does (as see in the screenshots) ? and 2) where does the ai model run?
