NetLanvas automatically discovers, maps, and monitors every device on your network — live topology, VLAN awareness, historical snapshots, SNMP/security auditing, and alerting. Open source (Apache 2.0), runs entirely on your own hardware (Docker, Windows, or macOS). Nothing about your network ever leaves the box — and now you can verify that yourself. First 100 beta users who opt into telemetry get 6 months of Premium free.
Hey PH — built NetLanvas to get real topology visibility and ongoing security auditing (SNMP hygiene, exposed management ports, and more) across my own network, self-hosted so none of that runs through a cloud dashboard. It runs on a Raspberry Pi, any Docker host, or installs natively on Windows/macOS, all the same codebase.
How the "nothing leaves the box" part actually works is written up at netlanvas.com/security.html, not just asserted — and since it's open source (github.com/markeaster/NetLanvas), you can check it against the real code, not just the writeup.

Heads up: the appliance/client is open source, the account/billing backend stays closed — and the first 100 people who register and opt into telemetry get 6 months of Premium on us. Happy to answer anything about how it works!

Who hunted NetLanvas?
NetLanvas was hunted by Mark Easter. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
