I built NetGlint because I wanted one calm number in the menu bar—not another dashboard, and not a speed test that creates its own traffic. The app is native Swift, refreshes once a second, and never sends data anywhere. The compact label stays focused on download activity; the panel adds upload, interface, and startup controls. It is free, MIT licensed, and intentionally small. Feedback on accuracy across different Mac network setups is especially welcome.
