I have a Harvard MBA and MS in Biotech. I spent years working in biopharma, but ironically, I recovered from chronic pain, digestive issues, and insomnia through a clinical research study that involved no drugs at all.
The study taught me that stress, a prior injury, or trauma can keep the nervous system in a state of high alert, continuing to send danger signals even when the body is no longer in danger. No one had ever explained this to me before. I was skeptical, but within a few weeks, I completely recovered.
I built Nervana because this research was life-changing, yet still incredibly difficult to find and access.

One thing that would really help is a way to log symptom severity quickly right after a coaching session, like a quick slider or a short voice note that ties to that day's entry. It would make it easier to look back and see whether a technique actually helped over time.
