I'm Dima, solo developer behind Neko Notes.
The idea came when I was building my first iOS app — I had notes in one app, tasks on a physical sticky note, and nothing talking to each other. I tried Notion to fix this. Deleted it after 5 minutes. Great product, wrong tool for me — I just wanted to write things down quickly without setting up a workspace first.
So I spent the next months building exactly what I needed: a notes + journal + task app that opens instantly, requires zero setup and keeps your data private.
The companion system was a happy accident — I added XP and leveling as a way to make completing tasks feel rewarding. Turned out people really liked it.
v1.1 ships today with pin notes, tag filters, sorting and full localization in 6 languages.
