NavKey is a way to control Windows with only your keyboard. Click buttons, scroll, right-click, switch apps and navigate your PC without constantly reaching for the mouse.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I built NavKey because I use keyboard shortcuts for pretty much everything, but I kept running into the same annoying problem: I spend most of my day on the keyboard, and constantly reaching for the mouse started to feel like needless friction.
I wanted something that felt a bit like Vimium, but across Windows rather than just inside a browser. I tried a few different tools, but couldn’t find one that worked quite the way I wanted, so I ended up building it myself.
NavKey lets you bring up little letter hints over buttons and controls, type the letters to activate them, and keep navigating without taking your hands off the keyboard (along with many other controls).
The goal is pretty simple: ditch the mouse and stay on the keyboard.
It’s especially for people who already live in keyboard shortcuts, use things like Vim/Vimium, or just get annoyed by constantly moving between the keyboard and mouse.
NavKey is still new, so I’m really interested in hearing what people here would change or add. In particular, I’d love to know which Windows apps you’d want something like this to work really well with.
It’s available on the Microsoft Store and there’s a 7-day free trial if you want to try it.
Thanks for checking it out. I’ll be around all day answering questions and taking feedback.
