Hey Product Hunt 👋
I’m launching Navis Docs, an open source platform for managing internal knowledge, SOPs, runbooks, and operational procedures.
I started building it after seeing how messy knowledge and process documentation can become inside teams: SOPs scattered across docs, unclear ownership, no audit trail, and tools that often sit behind sales demos or don’t offer a practical self-hosted option.
Navis Docs is designed for teams that want structured documentation without giving up control of their data.
What’s included today:
📝 Rich text documentation
✅ Step-by-step procedures
🔀 Flowcharts and decision trees
🔐 Role-based access for organizations and teams
🧾 Audit trails for procedure changes
🚩 Error reporting for outdated or incorrect procedures
💡 Idea pipeline for process improvements
📣 Team announcements
🔎 Optional AI search for self-hosted deployments
🐳 Docker Compose self-hosting
🧑💻 Open source under AGPLv3
It’s still early, and I’d really appreciate feedback from teams managing SOPs, internal docs, compliance processes, onboarding guides, or operational runbooks.
