Name a Hundred
Wikidata naming challenges. How many can you name?
Most naming games use fixed answer lists. Name a Hundred validates every guess in real time against Wikidata — so real people count, and you can keep typing while a name is checking. Live now: Name 100 Women and Name 100 Men. Timer runs up (no hard cutoff), free, no sign-up. More categories (Pokémon, Movies, Countries) coming soon. Built for trivia fans, streamers, and anyone who wants a fair, shareable challenge.
Hey everyone — maker here 👋
What inspired this: viral “name 100 women” moments on streams made me realize how fun (and humbling) these challenges are — but a lot of versions feel unfair when answers are locked to a fixed list.
What problem I was trying to solve: I wanted a free naming game with no sign-up, where guesses are checked against real-world data. So Name a Hundred validates names in real time with Wikidata. Women and Men are live; more categories are coming.
How it evolved: I started with a simple play loop, then kept polishing the stuff that actually matters in-game — parallel typing while a name is checking, clearer correct/missed feedback, and shareable results. If you try it, start with Name 100 Women on nameahundred.com and tell me which category you want next.
