Today, we're thrilled to unveil a major step forward: n8n's LangChain integration.
We've observed that AI is making headway, particularly in professional contexts. However, large language models can sometimes yield inaccurate or context-deficient outputs or even "hallucinate." This points to an increasing need for AI-powered apps that work over controlled data sets to improve the accuracy and efficiency of AI applications.
Our decision to integrate with LangChain was driven by community demand and its alignment with n8n's philosophy of modular building blocks and swappable components.
This integration speeds up LLM app building in a low-code environment while maintaining the flexibility and customization that n8n is known for. Enhanced by straightforward deployment features like our new chat widget, you can now build comprehensive AI-powered apps with automated workflows quicker than ever.
We're excited to explore the multitude of potential use cases this opens up and can't wait to see what the community will develop with this new integration.

I've had the opportunity to try the alpha of this feature (I work at n8n) and have not been this excited about a feature for a while!
My aha moment was when it took me ~15 seconds to give ChatGPT all the knowledge of wikipedia; something that would have had me banging my head against the wall if I tried to do this natively in code. Will definitely be using this one in my free time!

Was already using n8n for all of my AI workflows. I got to test the alpha for this and it's really good. It's crazy to think of the amount of great things that will be built by giving less technical people the tools to build with AI. Truly an insane time to be alive.

One of the things I have started on is a chat bot to let me interact with my home-lab hosts, I am fairly sure it won’t be long until I am setting up local n8n instances for testing using an n8n workflow with LangChain.
