Roughly four years ago, I launched n8n and was humbly greeted with an overwhelming reception from you all, bagging 'Product of the Day' and 'Product of the Week'. Since then, our team has grown, secured our Series A funding, and devoted ourselves to enhancing the workflow-building experience for individuals and organizations.
Today, we're excited to announce another milestone in our journey: n8n version 1.0 is here!

I last hunted n8n four years ago — when it won the coveted product of the week distinction. Now @janoberhauser is back with some big updates and a refined focus on automation workflows for technical users!

I love n8n. Once you get used to it, you will have a hard time going back to Zapier or Make. The simplicity and power of being able to draw your workflow on a canvas is great when compared to the linear approach of Zapier (Come on, paths are half-baked, tedious, and limited to 5) or the surprisingly rigid approach of Make (Why do I need a router & filter to split things?)
The support for Javascript in any node with expressions also increases the functionality so much. Especially now with chatbots to help people code, low-code is actually easier than no-code in most instances.
Plus, the pricing flexibility to self-host or use their fairly-priced cloud services are pretty much unmatched by rivals.
n8n seems like the ideal solution to streamline workflows and bridge the communication gap between technical teams and other users!
With its easiness to use, ability to simplify complex processes into a few connected flows, n8n has been a great help.
Existence of a community to support a product is always a great thing. N8n adds copy paste-able flows on top of that and this makes the learning curve much much more manageable when compared to other solutions.
You can ask a question and then copy the answer from the forum into the platform and it works, all the various nodes, flow logic and data transformations applied.
This had two effects on my usage; first, i was able to have something running very fast even though if I didn't fully grasp how it worked. Second, i could then spend time to understand by playing with a copy on my own pace since the problem was already solved and i wasnt pressured for time.

Hey, @janoberhauser , congratulations on the V1 release of n8n. Though I am not a user of n8n yet, I have seen many people very happy with the tool and actively using it to automate their workflows. Good luck!
I am working in SaaS company as developer and I am using n8n for the past 1 year. It is a great product and solves all our workflow needs. Also the tool is easily extensible to add new operations and resources in the nodes. Great to be part of the active community support. Congratulations guys.
