Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I built MyTaxQuarter after getting hit with a $4,200 surprise tax bill in my first year of freelancing. Every calculator I found was either too generic, required signing up, or didn't explain the math. So I built one that actually shows the full breakdown. What's included — all free, no account needed: 🧮 1099 Tax Calculator Calculates quarterly federal + state taxes with SE tax wage base cap, W-2 income stacking, safe harbor 100%/110% rule based on prior year AGI, and a printable PDF summary for your accountant. 💰 Freelance Rate Calculator Works backwards from your desired take-home income — accounts for taxes, health insurance, retirement, and non-billable hours. Most freelancers underprice by 40-60%. 🏥 ACA Subsidy Estimator Estimates your 2026 Premium Tax Credit. Includes cliff warning if you're close to the 400% FPL income limit where your entire subsidy disappears — and strategies to reduce your MAGI to stay under it. All calculations happen in your browser — nothing is stored or sent to any server. No signup, no email required. Happy to answer any questions about the tax math or how I built it. What would you add next? 🙏

Finally something built by someone who actually gets the quarterly panic. The freelance rate calculator alone is worth bookmarking.

finally something that doesn't try to upsell me a subscription just to plug in my income. The ACA subsidy estimate was a nice surprise since I never know what to budget for health insurance.

How does it handle state-specific tax rules since freelancing across state lines can get pretty different?

Love that it's free and no signup, super respectful of user privacy. One thing that would help me out: a simple export to PDF or CSV for the quarterly tax summary so I can hand it straight to my accountant without retyping everything.

Love that it doesn't ask for an email just to run the numbers. The ACA subsidy estimate was surprisingly close to what I got from a longer spreadsheet I usually use.
