MyStudyDeck
Photos and PDFs become Anki flashcards — fully on-device
Point your iPhone at a textbook page. On-device OCR, smart word filtering, and auto-translation turn it into flashcards — study in-app or exportapkg straight to Anki. No account, no cloud, no subscription. $14.99 once.
Hey PH!! I built this after months of reading r/Anki and language-learning threads where the same pain point kept coming up: making cards on a phone is miserable — typing vocab by hand or paying a monthly fee to send your textbook to someone's cloud API.
MyStudyDeck does the whole thing on-device: snap a page → OCR highlights the words worth learning (function words hidden) → Apple Translation fills the backs automatically (iOS 18+; on 17.x you fill backs manually) → study in-app or export standard .apkg to Anki. We run no backend — your study content never leaves the phone. No account either.
It's $14.99 once. As a student I think subscriptions should fund actual server costs, and this app has none, so it's priced like a tool: pay once, own it.
Honest notes: printed text only (no handwriting), iOS only, and scheduling is deliberately left to Anki it's better at it. Free tier = 3 cards to test the OCR on your own material before paying.
I'll be here all day would love to hear what languages/materials you throw at it.
