Hi Product Hunt! 👋
I originally had an idea for a side project: an online store selling interactive physical products with "secret messages" hidden in QR codes.
The main problem? I wanted the codes to be dynamic, and I needed to transfer the ownership of the QR content completely to the final customer. I also didn't want the responsibility of managing or seeing their personal messages.
I couldn't find an existing solution that did exactly this without friction, so I built a custom web app. Initially, it was just for my own store. Then, I decided to pause the store project and pivot, focusing on the engine itself and transforming it into a service so other POD sellers (with much more design talent than me!) could benefit from it.
MyQrMood generates a "claimable" QR code and automatically merges it into the design file, making it ready to print. The end customer simply scans the printed product to claim it, unlocking a dashboard to edit their destination link, video, or message whenever they want. All texts and links are encrypted inside the database (except for GIFs).
I’d love to hear your thoughts or technical feedback!
