Myndel
The simplest digital loyalty card for local businesses
The simplest way for a local business to run a loyalty program. Customers don't download anything, they just get a card on their phone. Setup takes 10 minutes. After that automated emails bring people back. Built for cafés, salons, barbers and gyms.
Hi Product Hunt,
I'm Romain, based in Helsinki. Myndel is a digital loyalty card for small businesses — cafés, barbers, salons, that kind of thing.
The reason I built it is that most of these places still run loyalty on paper. Cards get lost, ink smudges, and the owner has no real idea if the thing is working. Subway had to kill their stamp card in some markets because customers were photocopying them, which tells you something about where the bar is.
There's decent loyalty software out there, but it's built for chains with a marketing person. For everyone else it's a paper card in a drawer.
Myndel is the simplest version I could make. Customers don't download anything, they just get a card on their phone. Setup takes about 10 minutes: pick your reward, add your logo, print a QR code for the counter. After that automated emails handle the follow-up.
Most of the build time went into keeping it that short. Every feature I thought about adding, I checked whether it added a step to those first 10 minutes, and if it did I left it out. The person configuring this is usually the same person making the coffee. If it takes an afternoon they'll open a tab, get interrupted, and never come back to it.
So right now it's stamp cards only. Points and prepaid packs are on the list — a pilates studio doesn't want the same thing a barber does — but I'd rather add them slowly than make setup worse.
Happy to answer anything about the build (Next.js + Supabase) or how the loyalty side works. And if you run a local business, I'd like to hear what you use now.
