Most countdown sites look like they were built in 2003 and abandoned in 2004. π MyCountDownPage is the opposite: a hand-drawn, storybook-style countdown you'll actually want to share. Create a page for any moment a birthday, a trip, a launch and everyone you invite joins as a little planet orbiting it, drifting closer as the day approaches. Confetti on the big day. Free account to create, zero accounts to join.
A mild frustration inspired me honestly to build my own Countdownpage. Every time I wanted to count down to something a festival, a trip with friends, my kid's birthday I'd land on a countdown site that looked like it was built in 2003 and abandoned in 2004. Gray numbers, blinking banners, zero joy. For moments that are supposed to be exciting.
The problem (my problem and I hope fro some of you too π ): counting down to something you love should feel like the moment itself. Existing countdown tools are pure utility they tell you how long, and nothing else. Nobody shares them. Nobody comes back to them. They're parking meters for your happiest days.
How it evolved: it started as a simple, clean countdown page useful, but honestly still a bit boring. The turning point was flipping the question from "how do I show time remaining?" to "how do I make people feel it together?" That led to two decisions that changed everything:
The whole design became hand-drawn, storybook-style paper textures, wobbly borders, little stars. A page you actually enjoy looking at.
I built "the Orbit": everyone who joins your countdown becomes a little planet circling your moment, drifting one ring closer every day. On the day itself, everyone lands in the sun together. Confetti everywhere. π
Along the way I also learned to cut ruthlessly: no feeds, no profiles, no clutter. Making one takes a free account (so your countdowns follow you across devices) joining one takes 10 seconds and zero accounts. Your grandma can join.
I'd love to hear what moment you'd count down to and what you'd want next. π

Love that everyone joins as a little planet drifting closer, such a sweet way to visualize anticipation instead of just staring at numbers. Confetti at zero is the perfect punctuation.
