I'm a software developer from Germany, and I've been building MyBlock in my free time as a solo developer.
The idea came from wanting a simple way to discover what's happening nearby and connect with people locally without giving up privacy. That's why MyBlock doesn't require real names or profile pictures, and exact locations never leave the device.
The app is still in its early days, so I'd really appreciate any honest feedback, ideas, or criticism. Every comment helps me improve it.
