No App Store publishing, no browser tab: just an app on your phone. Describe it, and minutes later it’s running, offline, with timers that go off even when the phone is locked. Send it with a link: friends install MyApp Studio once, and every app you send after that just arrives. Or build one app the whole household uses together. And share a recipe page, a note or a contact from any other app straight into an app built to take it.
This started with sourdough. A few prompts to Claude Code got me a mobile app for my exact routine: my baker’s percentages scaled for small and large loaves, with a timer for every stage. I was amazed.
Then a friend asked for a copy, the first time anyone had asked me for anything sourdough-related other than to stop talking about it. And I realized I had no good way to give it to them. Making it cross-platform meant a second codebase for a bread app. Publishing it meant the App Store, for an audience of one. Sideloading is something a non-technical friend really shouldn’t do. And a web app builder would have given me a browser tab, which is not where I want a timer I’m relying on.
So naturally, I built an entire app studio rather than just texting them the recipe. (Claude Code was a great partner for that, too.)
With MyApp Studio, you describe an app on your phone and minutes later it’s running right on the phone, timers and all. Friends install MyApp Studio once, and every app you send them after that just arrives. My sourdough app was the first thing I rebuilt in it.
It’s grown past copies, too. You can build one app your whole household uses together, like a shared shopping list or a chore chart. And you can share a recipe page, a note or a contact from any other app straight into an app built to take it. It’s all free during early access.
Got an idea for a small app? Reply with it in a sentence, for you or for someone in your life, and I’ll build a few today and post screenshots here.
I showed it to my kids and they built a few cool apps on their phones in no time. Much easier than doing it through Claude on a laptop and uploading through the phone debug mode like I used to do for them.
