AWS wants $500+/mo. The cheaper options are shared VMs where your Xcode build fights for resources with everyone else.
I kept thinking: it's a Mac Mini. It costs $800 to buy. Why am I paying $500/month to rent one?
So I did the only logical thing — I racked my own Mac Minis in a datacenter here in Nantes, France. Started with a handful for my own projects, then a few people asked if they could use them too.
Fast forward to today: 500+ machines, dev teams in 40+ countries, and plans starting at $75/mo for a dedicated Mac Mini M4 with full root access.
