Mutely puts distracting apps behind a 120-second hold. Lift your finger and the countdown restarts. No snooze, no PIN you'll memorize by day three. Also does per-app daily limits and schedules. Everything runs on-device through Apple's Screen Time. iOS 17+.
Hi Product Hunt 👋
I built Mutely because every blocker I tried had the same flaw: turning it
off took about four seconds. That isn't friction, it's a formality.
So in Mutely, unblocking an app means holding a button for 120 uninterrupted
seconds. Lift your finger and it starts over. No snooze, no PIN you'll have
memorized by day three. Most of the time you put the phone down before the
countdown ends, which is the whole point.
It also does per-app daily limits and scheduled blocks. The Screen Time
insights never leave your device: no account, no analytics, no servers.
Happy to answer anything, especially about the Screen Time and Family
Controls side. That API is barely documented and most of what I know came
from things breaking in production.
I've been testing/building it for about a month and my screen time dropped significantly
